INSURANCE TECHNICIANS
FirstUnited Insurance Management Ltd are Insurance Managers providing a range of outsourced services to insurers and international insurance brokers. The company is seeking to recruit insurance technicians to support its client’s international business growth strategies.
Due to continued business expansion an exciting opportunity has arisen in FirstUnited's insurer management division to form part of the insurance team managing the recreational and scuba diving insurance book of International Diving Assurance Ltd. (IDA)
IDA is Europe's leading personal and casualty insurance specialist in underwater risks operating under freedom of services throughout the EU and EEA and as a reinsurer in major diving destination markets in the Mediterranean, North Africa and the Middle East.
The successful candidate will join an existing team which provides underwriting and claims and sales and marketing support services to the insurer and the insurer's clients, distributors and partners. Your responsibilities will require a hands-on approach and aptitude to
• Administer and handle new or renew policy requests;
• Assist in the development of new or customised wordings;
• Provide operations, maintenance, marketing, documentation and reporting support according to the company's the insurance or reinsurance requirements;
• Provide claims handling support;
• Assist, support and help develop sales & marketing opportunities in our target market countries across the above regions;
• Develop strong supporting relationships with the client's personnel and their distributors and partners.
This challenging position suits young motivated individuals with sound insurance skills and clear business abilities who can show a record of servicing and developing an insurance portfolio of commercial or personal clients. S/he should be an excellent communicator, IT aware and Microsoft Office literate.
The post will suit keen sportspersons with an outgoing personality and with excellent written and oral communication skills, a fluent command of English and Italian and possibly/preferably additional language skills. Preference will be given to persons with more than two years of Underwriting experience who are also undertaking their Dip CII / ACII studies.
